See MoreMaster switches enable power to be systematically managed on board. See MoreQuality plumbing and hygiene products should be a top priority on board, due to the limited space, constant humidity and the obligation to retain waste-water in most European sailing areas. Without having the right equipment on board, foul odours, drinking water contamination or the formation of pathogens can quickly occur. SVB's online shop offers a wide selection of pumps, on-board toilets, tanks, toilet accessories, drinking water treatmenents, thru-hulls, valves and hoses.
See MoreDid you know that in an emergency situation, the human brain naturally reverts to what it already knows instead of spontaneously becoming creative? For this reason, boat owners should make sure both they and their crew are well prepared for such situations. This includes not only regular safety training, but also making sure safety equipment on board is in good working order. The good news is that even though fear is a strong factor in emergencies, it does not always lead to panic.
See MoreWhether it's an outboard for small dinghies, motorboats or inflatables, or an inboard for your sailing yacht. The engine is the heart of every boat. Find the right equipment and the perfect accessories for your motorboat or motor yacht here. Spare parts such as impellers, but also electric motors.
See MoreThe usual type of throttle control on motor and sailing yachts is called a single lever throttle. As the name suggests, there is one lever that controls the direction of the drive. When the lever is moved forwards or backwards from the neutral position, the drive is engaged in forward or reverse gear and accelerates. The propeller rotates depending on how far the lever is pushed forwards or backwards. Two Bowden cables are attached to each lever, which lead to a respective motor. The first cable tells the gearbox the direction it should move and thus determines the rotational direction of the propeller.
See MoreWell-known brands such as Garmin, Simrad and Raymarine have developed a range of chartplotters and other electronic onboard devices that are state-of-the-art in terms of design and connectivity over the past few years. These systems increase safety when navigating, provide optimum visibility under and above water and are intuitive and easy to use.
